Since 1922

In 1922, RIPPES begins its activity by producing flame welding equipment. In 1975 the idea of covering a loaded pallet with a heat shrink cover in order to stabilise the load and offer weather and theft protection, was hatched and rapidly expanded.

The RIPPES Company was one of the first to develop a 'gun' connected to a gas supply, which, by dint of its hot flame, shrunk these shrink wrap covers.

The rapid expansion of demand for these shrink 'guns' led to the company setting up a new corporate entity in 1981; the SEFMAT company, with the purpose of designing, manufacturing and promoting these products worldwide.

These products are patented in Europe and the United States. The "cold nozzle" patent, which banished any risk of contact burns, placed RIPACKĀ® in the front line of this market.

Constantly focussing its investments on research and development, RIPACKĀ® ensures that it can supply its customers with innovative, high quality products.

Quality charter

Each Ripack product meets a demanding set of specifications, which guarantees performance and long-life.

For example, shrink guns can withstand being dropped fifty times from a height of one metre onto the front surface of the burner without affecting its operation*.

Gas piping must have a level of wear resistance double that of the expectations provided in the standard NF EN 559*.

...NOT SURPRISING THAT A RIPACK LASTS A LONG TIME!

Sustainable development

Aware of the issues that tomorrow may bring, Ripack committed to an approach several years ago for sorting its waste, by taking part in the Eco Plus action.

This state of mind goes even further with the introduction of an ecodesign approach for renewing its range of products.

In connection with shrink wrap producers, Ripack is enjoying innovations in terms of recycling protective films. These films are therefore reintroduced into the production circuit for the manufacture of bin bags or for reincorporation into the manufacture of shrink wrap.

Finally, the high level of protection provided by shrink wrap reduces the amount of packaging used. The multiplicity of materials used (boxes,...
